Backend's dashboard is opened when trying to edit static block from the frontend

Question:

When I try to open static block from frontend, it does not open the block, it only opens backend's Dashboard

Answer:

The root of the issue is that the Add Secret Key to URLs config in Store>Configuration>Advanced>Admin should be set as No instead of Yes as shown in the screenshot below:

If that config is set as Yes, the form key will be different between the frontend and backend. That difference will make you be unable go to the precise edit page in the backend from the frontend but redirected to the backend dashboard.

Hence, could you please set the Add Secret Key to URLs config as No whenever you would like to use the module's Show Edit Link In Frontend For config?
